Michael Stokes – se sentir à nouveau normal (USA)

Certains anciens combattants blessés de guerre veulent juste se sentir à nouveau normal.

Le photographe Michael Stokes, se met donc au travail avec une idée précise de ne pas prendre des photos solennelles traditionnelles posant des soldats amputés, l’air grave, dans leurs uniformes avec leurs prothèses.

Au lieu de cela, il projette ces hommes et femmes dans toute leur gloire, presque nu, avec des pauses assurées.

Michael Stokes / Biography

Michael has produced two coffee table books featuring his fine art photography, Masculinity, which is now out of print, and his second book, Bare Strength, which was released November, 2014. Michael also collaborated with the publisher, Taschen creating the best seller photo book, My Buddy: World War II Laid Bare, a collection of Michael’s vintage photos of nude soldiers.

Michael’s work has been on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The View and Jay Leno. Michael swims on a swim team and competes as a United States Masters Swimmer.
