Thomas kneubühler – Plein Nord / Projet en ligne

As some of you might know, I recently presented two new projects in the exhibition «Plein Nord» at the Centre Pasquart in Bienne. For those who did not have a chance to see the show, both projects are now online.

Biographie de l’artiste

Né à Solothurn, en Suisse, Thomas Kneubühler vit au Canada depuis 2000. Il a obtenu en 2003 une maîtrise en arts plastiques de l’Université Concordia, à Montréal. Son travail se penche souvent sur des questions de société et sur la façon dont la technologie affecte nos vies. Ses œuvres ont été exposées à de nombreuses reprises en Europe et en Amérique du Nord, aussi bien dans des sites externes que dans des galeries et musées. Son projet Under Currents faisait partie de la Triennale de Québec en 2011, et il a été récompensé au Swiss Art Awards de Bâle en 2012. Artist Biography

Born in Solothurn, Switzerland, Thomas Kneubühler has been living in Canada since 2000. In 2003, he completed a master’s degree in studio arts at Concordia University, Montreal. His work often deals with social issues and how technology is affecting people’s lives. His work has been presented in many exhibitions in both Europe and North America, in off-spaces as well as in galleries and in museums. “Under Currents” has been shown at the Québec Triennial 2011 at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, and at the Swiss Art Awards exhibition in Basel 2012, where it was one of the award-winning projects. Thomas Kneubühler is represented by Patrick Mikhail Gallery.
