Codex: les empreintes vibrantes de dévotion

Le manuscrit original de l’artiste intitulé «Codex : les empreintes vibrantes de dévotion» comprend 62 pages non reliées. Chacune des pages, calligraphiée et illustrée à la main, est réalisée sur un papier fait main (18”x24” -Papeterie Saint- Armand) l’ensemble est conservé dans une boîte d’archives de l’artiste. Les 62 pages composant le Codex sont considérées comme un tout, cependant chacune de ces pages, prise au hasard, est une empreinte qui a traversé le temps et qui peut être explorée et interprétée pour elle-même. La disposition numérotée des pages ne signifie pas un ordre séquentiel, c’est seulement le procédé utilisé pour identifier chaque page originale, y compris celle du titre et les pages d’index (1÷62; 2÷62; 3÷62 etc.).

«Codex : les empreintes vibrantes de dévotion», est un texte intuitif dont la calligraphie et les illustrations sont réalisées par des gestes spontanés qui viennent du vide, du silence et de la dévotion. Chaque trace de vénération authentique est unique, comme chaque moment dans le temps. Le flux des Icônes coule, à travers la plume et l’encre, dans un moment de créativité où l’artiste est le conduit qui raconte une histoire dans une langue mystérieuse, offerte à l’interprétation du lecteur.

Codex : Devotional Imprints in Time

The original artist folio titled “Codex : Devotional Imprints in Time” contains 62 unbound folia. All pages, with hand written calligraphy and illustrations, are composed on handmade linen paper (18”x24”- Papeterie St. Armand) and are held in an artist archival box. The complete Codex of 62 folia is meant to be held as a unit; however each folium at random is an Imprint in Time and can be explored and interpreted on its own. Enumeration of each folium does not signify sequential order, but is used to permit identification of each individual page out of a total of 62, including title and index pages (1÷62; 2÷62; 3÷62 etc.).

The “Devotional Imprints in Time” are an intuitive text in calligraphy and illustrated in spontaneous gestures that come from emptiness, silence and devotion. Each Devotional Imprint is unique, like every moment in Time. Icons flow through pen and ink in a moment of creativity where the artist is the conduit who tells a story in a mysterious language open to the reader’s interpretation.
